Joshua 14:12 ‘’ Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.’’

The statement in Joshua 14:12 is a clear definite request for purpose. It is a demand with the intension to possess, subdue and completely takeover the subject, which was on account of promise made. Mountain here depicts allocation, lot, place of abode, possession, etc. To Caleb, it is his divinely promised inheritance where he would plant his family and descendants for many generations.

There are certain forms of mountain: the family; foundation of where every life is built or destroyed

Education; where truth or error is inculcated in the life of many. The Politics and governance: where legislations are made for or against the kingdom. Religion: Powerful system of course, which people can die for. Economy: the resources of the society that fuels any other mountain.

Therefore, mountain can mean different things for different people:

To the children of Israel, it was the Promised Land that flows milk and honey

To  Elijah it was the conquest at mount Carmel.

To Jacob, it was the change of identity that ushers him to become a nation; Israel.

To Rachel, it was Joseph, the only Prime Minister of Egypt and the Preserver of life.

The second anointing and enthronement of David as king depended on the ancient conquest of Caleb at Hebron.

To Hannah, it was Prophet Samuel, one of the greatest prophets and judges Israel ever had.

To Apostle Paul, it was the gentile world.

All of these cases defined success for the people. However, every one of them had spiritual contentions by entities, which are keepers of the gate waiting to fight and retain their possession; whether ministerial, family, academic, social, or spiritual mountains.

Prayers

• O Lord God Almighty, have mercy on me and give me my mountain by thy thunder.
• By the boot of Christ Jesus, I crush every giant already possessing my mountain in Jesus name. Genesis 3:15
• Fierce fiery Angels of the Most High enter into my mountain and expel every giant in the land.
• Fire of God fall and consume all the prophet of Baal possessing mountain.
• By the anointing power of Christ Jesus, I break every spiritual embargo and limitations to my mountains, in Jesus name.
• O Lord, demolish the foundation of every wall of Jericho surrounding my mountain by your blast in Jesus name. Psalm 18:15
• Every sea between me and my mountain be cleared and dry up by the blast of the Almighty God in Jesus name. Exodus 15:8
• O Lord, drive out and destroy every marine Leviathan that has taken possession by fire, in Jesus name.
• Every atmospheric and environmental powers controlling my mountain, fall like lightening by thunder in Jesus name.
• Lord Jesus Christ, Stronger than the strongest, you have my permission to enter my life and drive out every strong man possessing and keeping my mountain. Luke 11:21, 22.
• O Lord God, give me a spiritual lion heart to completely possess all my lion shares.
• By the blood of Jesus Christ, I possess or repossess my mountain in Jesus name.
